ABOUT GRINDELWALD
The classic Swiss village of Grindelwald is nestled in South-Central Switzerland’s Jungfrau Region in the Bernese Oberland (Highlands).
Renowned for its jaw-dropping scenic beauty and year-round adventure sports, the picturesque village sits dramatically in the shadow of three of Switzerland's most famous and monumental mountain peaks – the Eiger, the Moench, and the Jungfrau.

GRINDELWALD FIRST – More than 37 miles of sunny groomed intermediate ski slopes with magnificent views of north face peaks.

GRINDELWALD - WENGEN and KLEINE SCHEIDEGG - MAENNLICHEN – The largest resort in the region, the 64 miles of slopes cater to all skier abilities. Ski the world-famous Lauberhorn World Cup Downhill course which finishes 3 miles further down in Wengen. Wonderful high alpine ski terrain.

MUERREN-SCHILTHORN -The highest ski resort in the region at 9,747 ft (snow sure!), over 60% of runs are advanced, expert, and off-piste terrain, one with a 88% incline – the steepest slope! Home of top-of-the-world Piz Gloria revolving restaurant. Glorious terrain - James Bond skied here!

A new gondola links the Grindelwald Terminal train station directly to the highest points below the Eiger. Take the world’s most spectacular cable car/gondola and train rides - Europe’s highest train station is the 11,333 ft panoramic Jungfraujoch! 45 lifts and 4,550 ft vertical. Generally uncrowded, no lift lines!

Per Powderhound: “Jungfrau has more non-ski activities than most ski areas in the world.” Big Pintenfritz is one of the longest toboggan runs in the World at over 9 miles; the town of Interlaken for a day trip is a short 30 min. train ride away. PAYMENT SCHEDULE - 2 EASY PAYMENTS
Deposit due upon registration: $1,500 to secure your space
Final payment due: September 15, 2024 $1,550 member, $1,650 non-member balance
Late fees and penalties: $100 if final payment is not received by September 30, 2024. Reservations are subject to cancellation and replacement from waitlist if final payment not received by October 5, 2024.
Cancellation penalty: Prior to 8/15/24 - $200; between 8/15/24 and 9/15/24 - $1000; between 9/16/24 and 10/15/24 - 75% of trip price; after 10/16/24 - 100% of trip price. Refunds are by checks, not credit card or PayPal.

The preferred payment method for this trip is Zelle. Please download from the App Store and make all payments to: Treasurer@SwissSkiClub.org. Add your name and “Trip 2025” when the question “What is this for?” pops up.

TRIP INSURANCE
We strongly suggest purchasing trip insurance. TRIP INSURANCE IS INEXPENSIVE AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
