How do I join you for an event?
To join us in Vermont you'll need to make a reservation for the weekend. Events in NY are open to everyone, just see the calendar for details on times and dates
How do I make a reservation? Visit our Book a Stay page! Non-Members (Friends) are welcome at the Lodge whenever a Member is present, attendees should be 21 years of age, unless accompanied by a parent. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.
What does it cost? Check our Rates and Procedures page.
Lift tickets and Rental equipment is not included in our fees. Any member will gladly show you to the rental locations and ticket offices at each mountain.
How do I pay? The best way to pay the club is by using the mobile app Zelle. Simply download the app, send money to treasurer@swissskiclub.org and don't forget to add a memo describing what the payment is for (Bus Trip 4, Carpool 1/21-1/23, Bus Trip 6 incidentals, etc.).
What do I need to bring to the lodge? Sheets (or a sleeping bag), pillowcase and a towel. Blankets and pillows are provided. If you want to use the sauna, bring a swimsuit and an extra towel! Also bring your own toiletries and sauna/shower shoes. Your reservationist will provide you with other details about car pools, pickup points, ski transport, etc.
Do I have to be a member to join you? You DO NOT have to be a member to join us at most of our events!
How do I become a member? Membership in the SSC is by a vote of the members. We ask that you join us for two events in New York City and two weekends at our lodge in Vermont over the course of one season.
Do I have to be an expert skier?
Not at all! Our members include skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities, beginner to advanced. You're sure to find someone to ski or board with who matches your ability. We have lots of cross-country skiers also and even an occasional telemarker.
What about other, non-skiing events? How can I attend?
For other events the procedure depends on the event. If the calendar lists a reservationist, please contact that person for details.
I'm not Swiss, does that matter?
The club prides itself on its international membership. We have members from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Canada, the Middle East and even the unknown lands of the New York City suburbs. (Throughout New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut and beyond).
Do you have events in the off-season? Sure do. We have social and recreational activities in New York City, the NYC area, and in Vermont, during the spring, summer and fall. Check our Events Calendar to see what we're doing in any season.
