Rates and Procedures

Members are welcome at the SSC lodge in Waitsfield, VT (“the lodge”) at any time there is availability based on current occupancy. Non-Members (immediate family and friends) are welcome at the lodge only when a member is present.

• The length of each lodge stay is one to seven consecutive nights per visit.  Additional nights beyond seven consecutive nights must be requested and approved by the Tour Manager.  Drive-ups on Bus Trip Weekends are prohibited unless specific permission is granted by the Bus Trip and/or Tour Manager.
  
• Lodge stay bookings must be booked prior to dates of stay, are on a first-come, first-served basis, and subject to approval by the Tour Manager.  Booking conflicts will be resolved by the Executive Committee.
• All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.  There is a $50 cancellation fee for all reservations. Members may change reservation dates ONCE from the original booked dates before a reservation is cancelled with the $50 cancellation fee. All date changes must be approved by the Tour Manager in advance of the original booking.
• It is the responsibility of each person staying at the lodge to be aware, understand, and follow all current requirements ofThe State of Vermont’s COVID-19 Travel Guidance in effect throughout the dates of their stay at the lodge. Please familiarize yourself with The State of Vermont’s COVID-19 Travel Guidance, which is subject to change, BEFORE booking at stay at the lodge.
• If you feel sick, stay home.  Any person who becomes sick while at the Lodge must immediately leave/checkout of the Lodge.  All stays at the lodge are subject to current Vermont COVID-19 Travel Guidance in effect during the dates of lodging.
• Please remember to bring your own sheets/linens/sleeping bag, towels, toiletries, and pillowcases.
• Any Member who does not abide by these Procedures and/or intentionally misrepresents their booking for lodge stays, will be fined $100 to be paid to the club before any future stays at the lodge are approved.  Members will also be referred to the Executive Committee for disciplinary action and/or membership termination. 
• Any Non-member who does not abide by these Procedures and/or intentionally misrepresents their booking for lodge stays, will no longer be allowed to stay at the lodge nor be granted membership to SSCNY at any time in the future.

If you don't have a car, check out the rideshare forum on our website, post on the forum if you need a ride.  The club does not guarantee rides to the lodge on Non-Bus Trip dates.

Cancellations

Refund Policy:

* Full refund minus $50 processing fee if cancelled 21 or more days prior to departure date

* 50% refund if cancelled 20 to 7 days prior to departure date

* No refund for cancellation less than 7 prior to departure date or no show

* You may wish to consider purchasing trip insurance (WorldNomad has policies for around $40).

Bus Trip Weekends

What's the "fine print" in your reservation policies?

• Reservations left on voice mail or by email are not valid.  All Reservations must be completed online and paid in full to be confirmed. 
• Pets are not permitted at the lodge and smoking is not allowed indoors. Smokers may use the porch to indulge. Pets will have to stay home for the weekend.

I'm driving, how do I find the lodge?
     The lodge manager will provide directions or your passenger will know the way.

Parking
     Please park in our parking area. The driveway is for loading/unloading only and must be kept clear.

What are the rules for children?

Attendees should be 21 years of age.  Children/Young adults under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a current member and/or parent.  Members with children are welcomed to bring children of any age. Non-members with children must be introduced by a member and member must be present during their stay.  Non-member's children must be older than 5 years old or should be otherwise approved by the reservationist and/or the Tour Manager.  Bus Trips are limited to 21 years and older only.  Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis, contact the Tour Manager and/or Bus trip Manager.
